Lift Install Pricing - All Over the Board?

Hey all....

As I'm not oh so mechanically inclined and wouldn't exactly trust myself, I'm planning to have my lift installed *professionally*. I live in Northern Cal, and well, that alone makes everything that much more expensive.

I've been trolling these boards looking at everything lift, wheel and tire related. I've seen a few references to pricing but not a whole lot.

The one that stood out the most, was a lift done in Phoenix for $250 including alignment. I've received 2 quotes from 2 different shops here: $650 and $680 - not necessarily including alignment. Close to 3x the cost...yikes.

Would like to know, for those of you that have paid to have them done, what you've paid.

I'm looking at installing the OME Med kit if that helps at all.

Thanks
FJ Queen

Re: Lift Install Pricing - All Over the Board?

$250 sounds like a good deal, including a wheel alignment.some people have paid a little more including the alignment.anything over $300 is too much.

Re: Lift Install Pricing - All Over the Board?

my OME kit cost $500 to install plus $90 for aligment. The aligment was done a month later after suspension was give time to relax.

Re: Lift Install Pricing - All Over the Board?

I'am shopping for a lift kit right now and today I was quoted $550.00 for a install with alignment for a skyjacker kit. Not sure if that was good or not?

that's a pretty good deal! which shop is this? i was planning on installing my lift on my own, but i would have to buy some additional tools. at this price i just may let the shop install it instead.
