ANY LINKS!!!!! READ guys! Jeesus Tony =P. I just added that part to my original post.
Frogeye-

What's the point of a poll if you're going to confuse the issue by adding a brand new product to the mix. The AP links should not be included at all. Just stick with the OEM links and keep it simple.

Scott, Bent Broken, the links took some serious impact to one side or the other. Just vote Please.

What the heck were you doing out near Pala when the axle broke?
Broken=End of trip or run, $150-$250 in parts and 3 hours labor.

Bent=$60 parts, 5 minutes in labor.

Anyone reading the results are not going to know that you mean't broken and bent are the same thing.

How hard is it to differentiate?

I was driving home on asphalt when my inner spindle separates from the tripod bearings.

Scott

MY point is.... IT doesn't matter what links! AND I bet it doesn't matter what brand of coilovers either. Links are bending and breaking, stock links and aftermarkets. Stop breaking my balls already.

Re: The Bent/Broken Link Poll

I have a feeling those breaking/bending are the ones that do high speed desert bombs. Maybe rock crawling won't make as much of a difference. I'm just guessing. When you respond to the poll can you also describe your driving style? I know Uphill doesn't do the high speed runs and he didn't bend or break his stock links, but he changed them as a precaution. I'm not sure how FJcruiser123 drives or how Dustpark drives either. Figuring out what kind of activity stresses the links more will help in the redesigns.

Angry Re: The Bent/Broken Link Poll

i had one with the all pro front suspension and 2 with the old man emu heavy.

Typical off road nothing hard core. I more sway bar link due to stupidy that does not count because i killed the axle on the passenger side also

All links on the passenger side, last time the link bolt fell out after the dealer put it in and they would not cover it and told me the sway bar was bent.

So F@CK the sway bar i am and have been running without it for about 4 months with pro comp limit straps and heavy front suspension no problems.

Who needs the hassle when you can just go to limit straps.

Hell the dealer will not even fix the diff leak because i welded a skid to it F@CK DEALERS ALL OF THEM.

Re: The Bent/Broken Link Poll

Blackcherry--what length did you set your limit straps to, where did you get them, and what did it take to install them? I'm considering going the same route--I wheeled this weekend with no swaybar and it was awesome, just need to limit droop to prevent damage.

Thanks,

My Links bent on Holcomb Creek, and Coyote Canyon. It is from a shifty sway bar in my opinion. That makes the link ****ed offcentered, it is not so forgiving in the position causing it to bend.

Re: The Bent/Broken Link Poll

I bent the passenger link on the clark summit dirt road. This trail is on the south side of Big Bear and is fairly easy. I wasn't aired down and I was somewhat pushing it.

Regards, SSC
