Lifting the FJ

Hey ya'll:

I have researched the "search" function for all I could find about putting in a lift kit and tire combo's and such (and there is A LOT of good info). I know that is the first mod I want to do and I am prepared to do it now, but to be honest I couldn't find one definitive post on what is the right lift, how high should I go, reliability, prices, etc... I have viewed some of your rigs and I liked every one of them. That being said I kinda want mine to be my own creation...comprende? So...let me have it...where is a good, solid place to read and learn about what is the right lift for me? Let me give you a little help here: 1. I plan on going off-road (trails most likely). 2. I am a novice at this (although I use to drive a Chenowth DPV in Afghanistan). 3. Thanks!

Tim

Re: Lifting the FJ

Thanks very much! I did read the first link already, but I somehow missed the second one (FAQ). Exactly what I'm looking for!

Re: Lifting the FJ

Careful... you will catch the Cruiser bug! I did. I eat, sleep, drink, dream and all that good stuff about my FJ. I just spent 24 wonderful hours driving in it! And yes, I can't wait to do my suspension!
