OME question

Do the different OME springs give you different amounts of lift??

For example.....would the "heavy's" give you more lift than the "light's"

If there is a difference....how much of a difference? Minimal? or noticable?

Sorry for the dumb question.

Not a dumb question.

Each spring set has a different load rating so to speak. So, if you have a static load and put a spring that has a higher rating, it will push the load up, lower rating, not so far up.

So, if you have a "stock" set-up and put on the OME 886's, you would get about as much lift as you can out of them but that would also probably put your CV's in a negative angle...

Re: OME question

OME lifts are all desighned to keep all angle within limits, so no further mods will be need in regaurds to angles. The light lift 886 actually give more lift, about 3.0", the 885's about 2.5"and 886's give about 3 inches of lift. The 884's are for stock weight, 885 for around 180 lbs of additional (don't qoute me on that exact wt-but it's close), and the heavy 886's for more then 180lbs (Winch bumper, winch, 2ndary battery etc. I have the heavy set up and have no problems with BFG MT 285/70/17's, It actually handles better than stock, with alot more positive feedback in turns. Re: OME question

If my research is correct...After hours and hours of reading on here I would say that the 883's will basically give you a levelling lift.....I got quoted $100 bucks a spring and 3 hours labour to install....There are days I wish I lived in the states....lol. I have a garage and if I lift the rear (in turn lifting the truck) I will not be able to get in my garage.....So it's looking like the 883's are winning out so far over the Daystar since that lift includes 1.5 inches to the rear along with the 2.5in to the front.....But then again there is the topside aluminum spacer from ExtremeTruckToys.....And Fat Bobs Garage has a steel top load spacer for under $100........

I am getting dizzy again..................... MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: OME question

I guess the 883's would be just to level it out then.

I was told 884's would hold around 120lbs with no sag.
