i am down to the decision between the donahoe racing front c/o and rear dr shocks and coils or the sway-a-way front c/o and rear saw shocks and coils. because of the re-structure of donahoe, i am able to get the dr or saw kits at around equal price. is there any reason not to go with the donahoe (as i am leaning toward this product) ? i know there is a re-structure, but my understanding is that the dr products are a preferred component and they will still have product support once the re-structure is complete.
also, i am not looking for a rock crawling setup...i will be doing 75% of my driving on road and 25% in snow or light desert runs/fire roads! so...knowing that, which kit should i get? DR OR SAW?
last question: does either kit require a body chop when running 285-70-17 bfg km2 or at tires? thanks everyone!

I have the hoes and am very happy with them, I run 285/70/17 BFG KM2, I have a little rubbing at full articulation of the suspension, eventually I will do the body chop as for now I can live with it, no damage to the tire or the vehicle. To be a little more specific, no rubbing when rock crawling, only have rubbed when running sand at high speeds. I have an ARB bumper up front, and am waiting on a winch before I completely level it out. Right now I still have a slight rake, the front is a little lower than the rear. As far as road driving, the suspension handles great, no roll in corners in fact I can't believe how well it corners especially for an SUV. Keep in mind the only thing I have to compare to is the stock set up, some day I hope to drive vehicles with other set ups for comparison.
I would go with the DR's they should have all the restructure stuff figured out this week and putting a press release out some time as well. The DR's seem to be a better well rounded set up but both are good. SAW uses a heaver spring so if you don't plan to add after market bumpers it might be to stiff.
The chop should be needed with both set ups and those tires.

I had the same debate a year back and finally decided on the DR's, im extremely happy with the performance on and off road and havent looked back. Good luck!
thanks everyone. sounds like donahoe's are the right choice for me! i went ahead and picked up a set of c/o's and rear dr shocks from Shannon over at Champion Toyota of Houston! He was very helpful and got me a great deal! Check him out... fjcruiserpartsstore.com ..thanks again.
Running the SAW's on my rig and I love'em. After hearing all the service problems and lack of response to customers before the current crisis/restructuring I wouldn't bank on it improving anytime soon.
Picked up my SAW kit from Metal-Tech one of the vendors here you should check out the different kits there before you decide. Even if you don't buy talking to Mark there will be very educational for you as far as picking his brain about suspensions.

They are both good coil overs and will get the job done. If you want to get them right now we can get the Saw-aways or Camburgs asap. If you want to wait and see if Donahoe comes around then wait for those. They are both good coil overs.

myself and most others think that you will be happy with the DRs, except for this recent restructure bs.
SAW's are awesome. For whatever reason they don't get as much support on this forum but they are very well respected in the industry. Check out their more advanced remote reservoir coilover shocks set up on the TLC SCORE BAJA 1000 Limited Edition ICON. You don't get a product on a rig that goes for $145,000 without having an outsatnding reputation behind it.
