Rear DR shock leak?

I have a set of rear DR shocks that are about 9 months old and it looks like the rear passenger side may be leaking? I noticed it today the bottom of the boot has some fluid on it hard to tell if it was oil or some sludge from a water crossing last Sat that just got trapped in there? I removed the boot and it is dry at the top it could just be a slow leak down the shaft? The other side was dry as a bone. So how do I tell if it is leaking out? I cleaned the area and I will watch it but is there anyway I can test it or check it? I leave in 6 days for 4-6 months and this is my wifes DD so I need to make sure everything is all squared away she will not be happy if she has to take care of this issue. Thanks for any and all help. Anyone got a spare DR rear shock sitting around????

Re: Rear DR shock leak?

I had a similur problem with my DRs and could not contact Donahoe because all this restructure bs. Bottom line for me is I'm switching to Radflo rear shocks. On mine the oil was coming from between the shock body and the cap on the bottom of the body.

Re: Rear DR shock leak?

seems like there are quite a few rear donahoe shocks leaking. And I was planning on switching my rear OME to donahoe before the restructure took place.

Re: Rear DR shock leak?

My first issue is how do I make sure it is a solid leak? Also since I am head out on deployment I need to get a replacement ASAP right now I am guessing that DR is down and I will not get a replacement? I am going to try and call them in the morning and see what I can do. If not I have the OME med springs so anyone know will my stock shocks work with this? My wife will not be taking it off road only to the mall and over a few speed bumps. I am open to recommendations on replacements?

Re: Rear DR shock leak?

Anyone know if these can be easily rebuilt? Can I just take them to a shop and get it fixed? I plan to call Dr in the morning and Jason and Demello and see what ideas they have I need a fix by Wed.
