ome suspension shifting

I have had my rear OME suspension on for around a year and all has been good. This weekend I noticed a clunking sound from the rear. When I checked it out I saw that the coil was shifted!! Has anyone had this happen?? I should be ok to driv eon it to and from work till this weekend, right? I havent done anything crazy to make it shift, just normal eveyrday driving.
here's a pic...........

That's weird. I have the OME front and rear lift as well. Wonder what happened? I'll go look at mine right now.

Re: ome suspension shifting

with out the shock or sway bar disconnected i don't see how that could possibly happen as you need quite a bit of droop the take the tension off the spring to get it to turn like that. it almost would have to be installed like that.

Re: ome suspension shifting

I've had my suspension pop out of it's seat. I took a hammer and knocked it back into place.

Re: ome suspension shifting

My first guess would be some extreme articulation. But as you said, nothing extreme and mostly daily driver. Maybe someone borrowed the FJ and got some air with it.

Re: ome suspension shifting

maybe it was installed like that, but you would think i would have noticed it before now? I have had it on there for some time and this is the first time ive noticed something wrong.Thats why I plan on doing all my own install work from here on out.

Re: ome suspension shifting

By "shifting" and the pictures i am guessing you mean that the end of the spring is not in the seat, correct? They could have been installed that way.
You could fix it yourself not too hard.
Lift the and put jack stands under the frame.
Unbol the bottom nut that holds on the shock.
Let the axle droop down and then the spring becomes loose.
You can then reposition the spring. Take maybe 30 minutes and save you some money if you have the tools.
If you lived here i would do it for you for 5 lbs of boiled crawfish.
