After a new lift...how long untill it "settles"?

I hear people talking about how a lift will "settle" after a while. How long does that take? Drive it around for a day or two?....or a month or two?

Should you get it aligned right away?.....or wait??

Usually it takes about a 100 miles to get it settled in. Maybe sooner if you take it out in the field and get it through a series of articulated maneuvers to get everything settled in. I would get the alignment done right after the lift is installed. Just my 2 cents worth.

If you are going to add a heavier bumper or a winch, I would recommend doing that with the lift then let it settle and get the alignment.

500 miles on road....100 miles off road.....and like everyone else said....align it after the fact...
