Re: Donahoe Front Coil Over

Yes squeeking WAS a problem then after a couple thousand miles it just went away. They are fine now!! Love the ride but only lift to about 2 and a half or its kind of stiff.

Re: Donahoe Front Coil Over

I was only going to level it, two inches at most. Hows the ride? close to stock.I have read that and been told its like a caddy.

Re: Donahoe Front Coil Over

Have em and love the handling on road and the performance offroad will blow you away. Mine squeaked at first too but went away and i believe they have fixed that problem on the newer ones. But you will definitely be pleased with your purchase.

Re: Donahoe Front Coil Over

I have the donahoe coilovers and shocks but have yet to purchase the rear springs. Right now my rig sits just pinch higher in the front and that with leaving the coilovers in the hight that they come preset to. Eventually i will get the springs and then i may want to raise it up in the front but for now it looks a rides just fine.

Re: Donahoe Front Coil Over

I don't think mine have ever squeaked, but then again I have lost most of my high-frequency hearing so maybe they do and I just don't hear it.

The ride is much firmer than stock but that is a Good Thing. If you want to meet in Fort Worth or the mid-cities for lunch some time you can drive mine and see what they're like if you want.

They come pre-loaded for 2" of lift but of course you can adjust them.

Re: Donahoe Front Coil Over

I'm running the newer DR's, I have it 3.5" of suspension lift. The squeeking in the past had alot to do with the UCA's. Make sure you do the install with them not cranked up, once installed, then crank the ring to give you the clearence you need. I'm running front and back. You will also need new UCA's, you can't run the newer ICON (DR) with stock UCA's, they will rub and hit the springs. I'm running camburg UCA's. I hope this helps, I love my ICON Suspension.

Re: Donahoe Front Coil Over

The coil-over shocks that Shadow Warrior has are the extended travel version we offer. They are meant to be used with our Billet UCA's. We have our standard travel version which can be used with the stock UCA's.

Re: Donahoe Front Coil Over

Can I trade in my standard version for the extended version for a fee? Did not know there was such an option. I do have your billet UCAs.
