Guys, thanks for the updates etc. And sorry I haven't spun this up faster than I hoped when I first started it. I should be heading over to MAF on Thur and I'm going to raid their technical specs on all the OME coils and springs we have on the list, so hopefully I'll have quite a bit more info ready by next week.
Got some extra specs today by looking at the OME catalog at MAF. Strangely, some of the coils weren't listed. I'm also not sure I got the proper data for the N71 rear shocks.
Anyone got info on weight max for each springs. Such as 883=lift with no weight on front, 884's= up to 100lbs 885's= up to 200lbs 886's= 200+ . <------------these are not OME specs; just things I made up--------- In other words don't order based on my info.
Anyways, I think a chart with info listed in this way would help noob's out tremendously.

You know, I've seen that info somewhere. Let me try to find it and post it up.
Here is my 2 cents. Since lifts and tires are most peoples first mods as they create the most difference in look and capability I recommend they go with the OME heavies front and rear. Once people do the lift and tires they then catch the bug and install bumpers, winches, sliders and skid plates then they realize the medium OMEs aren't enough to carry around the extra 1,000 pounds of mods they have added to their rig. They then pack their rig to go camping, add in the wife and kids and now they don't have the required ride height they need.

OK, I just got my OME 2.5" lift. Its great! Heavy in the front and medium in the back. I have one question that currently concerns me. The front tires are not exactly vertical. The tires bow in at the bottom. I cant imagine this is good for the tires/rack and pinion/ tie rods/ etc. Is there a way to fix this? Any suggestions? I am a newbie so please keep it simple/ stupid. I have searched high and low for pics on this sight to see a lift head on but they are always at an angle or from the side. Thanks.
Please include the OME 895E as a rear option. It is slightly shorter than the 895 and provides less overall rear lift, giving more front end leveling options without pushing the front end alignment specs. The ARB FJ ran this setup before taking on more weight, tent, etc. and thereafter shifted to the 895. The ARB FJ is a great example of flexible OME options in the rear. There are only a handful of posts regarding the 895E. It probably should be more widely used.
anyone know how much shorter this coil is? what will be the result in the rear? 1-1.5" lift?

so it looks like the 895 and the 895E both have a rate of 260lb, the 895E just shorter. according the the rear spring comparison, my current Donahoe coils have a rate of 218lbs. if i make this change to the OME 895E, can i expect a stiffer/harsher ride? any input from current 895E owners would be great. if the ride will be to rough, i am also considering the Downey rear coil which supposedly gets you about 1.5" lift and a lower rate of 232lbs. hmmmm
