Walker Evans Susp - Sway hitting coil

Anyone else with the 3" W/E kit notice that the sway bar contacts the spring on the front coilovers under lock turns? Anyone have a remedy? I didn't get any sway bar relocation brackets or anything with my kit, am I missing something?

I don't have any issues. Can you post some pictures?

Re: Walker Evans Susp - Sway hitting coil

I'll try and get some photos asap. It barely touches. The only way I noticed it was that a lil bit of the spring has some powdercoat chipped away.

Re: Walker Evans Susp - Sway hitting coil

most of these kits have sway bar relocation brackets, this maybe your solution.

W/E doesn't need relocation and shouldn't hit...

Search for "shifty sway bar".

Re: Walker Evans Susp - Sway hitting coil

The W/E doesn't need a swaybar relocation bracket. If you noticed on the top of the shock, it should be off centered. The top bracket that you mount the three bolts to are off centered.

Of course about a month after this pic was taken I completely removed my swaybar, never looked back since. And that's been well over a year now.

Re: Walker Evans Susp - Sway hitting coil

From the pic it looks like everything is good to go, but I had the same problem when I had my WE coil overs put on and the reason they hit the sway bar was because they were on the wrong sides. (driver shock on passenger side and passenger shock on driver side). I just took the truck back to the shop and they switched the shocks for me and now I have much more clearance between spring and sway bar.

Good looking out! I am going to give this a shout. I just got the new bushings to eliminate the squeeks so I will add in the swap to the mix too!
