Re: My FJ is sqeeking..:(

My suspension started chirping after a weekend off-roading.

not sure if this related but I'm going to check if my springs are clocked correctly. They say if it's not clocked correctly then it will rub against the sway bar.

Well, that's what they say

Re: My FJ is sqeeking..:(

It's probably your sway bar bushings.

I added some steel collars to my sway bar (to prevent shifting left to right), and whenever they get dry the rubber squeaks as I bounce (even just a little bounce). I use a silicone spray to soak down the bushings and all is well; until they dry out again.

If that's not the problem, then use the same silicone spray on the upper and lower control arm bushings, and even the top of the struts (where the rubber attaches to the top).

Re: My FJ is sqeeking..:(

noticed that my fj started to squeek a bit too. I have to OME lift but i dont think that has anything to do with it. Mayb my upper control arm or as said above swar bar bushing. Is silicone spray the best to use or some white lithium greese?

I had the same squeaks also .The silicone spray on allbushing points should do it!

Re: My FJ is sqeeking..:(

I've just been noticing this on mine as well...I'll try this to at least see if that eliminates one thing the squeaking might be. Thanks for the information!!

Re: My FJ is sqeeking..:(

I had the same problem coming from the rear suspension after installing my RC6 inch lift. It was corrected by greasing the rear control arms.
