RC 6" on a Ti

This past weekend I installed a RC 6" lift, 2" wheel spacers (to use stock wheels) and some 33" Goodyear MTR's. In order to safely use the wheels spacers on the front of the FJ I installed some longer wheels studs. ( I need some wheel stud specs ). The stock wheels will fit on the RC lift without spacers, however the gap between the knuckle and side wall is about one inch with the stock tires still on.

Here are some pictures.

Can't argue with this axle angle or tie rod angle.

Looks great! Did you do the body mount chop? If you do this mod and use spacers You should be able to go with 35's tires. It will make all the difference. Forgot to mention ,with the bigger tires you will reduce the angle of the front CV's to relign with more of a stock platform.

They are new tires......I wanted to stay with a 33" tire. The way I am if I go 35" then I will "need" gears and a S/C....lol

Funny thing about tires is they wear out and you can try something else next time

Not trying to flame here;

The tires are unsprung weight, I am not sure how an extra inch of radius will help to level out CV angle, other than maybe just optical illusion. I noticed that you have a Fabtech, the angles on that kit are much closer to stock than my RC. I wanted to run this kit for a few reasons that all boil down to personal preference. I did look hard at the Fabtech and the Procomp, but I liked this kit a little better for a few reasons.

I have been wrong before and will be wrong again, maybe I just need to see it...

Your probably right! When you go with a 6' lift things seem to be more a optical illusion. With smaller tires after this mod , check what the toe in out campher is and measure the angle! Yeah it works but over the long run you will increase wear.

After the lift I went to a truck shop and got the little buddy aligned. The Toe is dead perfect and the Camber is pretty good. They gave me a before and after print out. So I got to see the work. After the alignment I got the tires.

On a side note I really like the way those flares look on your rig fj6.
