Fox Suspension Rattle

I've had my Fox setup for 3-4 weeks now, and immediately after getting situated, I noticed that the rear-end rattles and makes all kinds of annoying noises that seem to radiate through the frame. We are going to take a look at the shocks Wednesday when we install the lower shock skids, but until then, any ideas? It did not do this with my OME suspension, and it is driving me crazy.

Daedalus that could be any of a whole ton of things as you know. It usually is just one thing, and it may not even be on those parts. My suggestion is to:

1. Go underneath and have someone bounce up and down on the rear bumper.

or

2. Get a rubber mallet and bang hard on everything down there. Wear sunglasses so you don't get your eyes full of Louisiana.

I appreciate it! I would be dodging the Utah/Colorado dirt right now. I'm assuming when you say a whole ton of things-- you're referring to the suspension itself? Or the entire rear-end?

Thanks.

Re: Fox Suspension Rattle

It'll be something in the new installation. I mean that it may not be those exact components; it could be something else that was affected by the install. Like a parking brake cable knocked out of the holder. I shouldn't guess because each of these cases is different.

What is the bump-stop situation?

I appreciate the clarification & am on the same page now, thankfully! The bump-stop(s) are still stock as far as I know, I seriously doubt anybody is adding to my rig without me knowing, but I wouldn't be fervently opposed.

Re: Fox Suspension Rattle

Wish I could help more but you know this is not an easy one to diagnose remotely! Best of Luck.

No worries, I most definitely appreciate the replies nonetheless. This forum is just usually a great place to find a starting ground, which you gave me! Thanks.

Re: Fox Suspension Rattle

Did you change your sway bar links? They need a lot of lubrication every time you go in mud or get in deep water.
I have the fox susp and just cured it of an annoying squeak coming from the sway bar links.
