RC6 and extreme CV angles

Anyone think the RC6 puts extreme angles on your CV's? If so, is has anyone tried to drop the front diff a little lower? Then the Front driveshaft angle increases. Problems, problems.

It comes with a front diff drop bracket. Ends up with a lower CV angle than their 3" kit.

Re: RC6 and extreme CV angles

Not to mention a higher center of gravity with the same ground clearance as a good set of adjustable coilovers. IMO I like the look of the 6, plus you can run a couple inches bigger tires, but unless you go straight front axle, it doesn't make much wheelin sence.

There are some on here who might beg to differ. Have you seen TNSquire's rig in action or even Matt07FJ's?

That's why I stated that it was in my opinion. some people dig it, I just think you could get a diff drop, some tall coil overs and regear with slightly bigger tires mabey not 35's and head to head the lower cog rig would likley be more versitile. The 6" would definitly have a couple advantages like higher clearance between the front and rear tires. I'm not bashing it, sorry if I came off that way, I'm just thinking versatility, thats my thing, some are more into one type of wheeling and build their truck in that direction which is cool. Again, just my opinion

Re: RC6 and extreme CV angles

6" you gain alot more belly clearance, which would be great for the ledges I always find myself stuck on with my 3"

the FJ has a wide enough stance that 6" doesnt make it that tippy at all.

Re: RC6 and extreme CV angles

I've driven both on road OME, FOX, and a ProComp 6" kit--

Both OME and Fox lack a front swaybar(On my setups,) and I will tell you that the 6" was uncomfortably unstable, whereas the two 3" kits demonstrated acceptably-stock handling.

I would suggest that you measure the angle of 3" lifts and the RC lift, as all the 3" lifts I have seen have a far less severe angle compared to the pics of the C lifts I have seen.

Don't need to measure I know the designers.

Yes, I know. I installed many of them. Even with the diff drop, I feel the CV's are still pretty extreme. I haven't seen any problems yet. I'm just trying to see if anyone has a better solution.

I guess my question got lost somewhere. Forums are great for info but it's like the internet, too much to filter.
