Just asking.. Anyone higher than 6" on their FJ?

Just throwing it out there... is there is a kit, one off, or if anyones "added" to there 6" kit to make it a bit taller?

Its just a question, not looking to ruffle any feathers or get opinions as to why you dont like it or think its a waste of an FJ.

Thanks in advance

I believe anyone with the SAS SFA setups are higher than that. There's only so much you can do with the IFS rig before your popping your CV's leaving the driveway.

Re: Just asking.. Anyone higher then 6" on their FJ?

Yup, what he said. For SAS'd rigs, check sbechtold or MissFJ's rigs. For 6" kits w/drop diff brackets, check Matt07FJ or TennesseSquire's rigs. Otherwise, 3" OME and other kits are about the limit w/o dropping the diff or going SAS...

Re: Just asking.. Anyone higher then 6" on their FJ?

Thanks for the replies guys.

Looks like Ill just take the easy road, and go with a 6" kit.

One last question, do this "kits" come with the parts to drop the diff.?

Re: Just asking.. Anyone higher then 6" on their FJ?

I REALLY hope I don't start seeing FJ's with crazy lifts like specific jeeps have where the entire body HANGS to the left or right when they turn....makes me cringe almost. Looks as if the whole cabin if gonna fall right off the car

They should. Most of the kits run around 2 grand or more. Just a word of warning, expect to get a MAX of about 15mpg with 6" lift and 35's. One guy said he was getting 11-13.

Re: Just asking.. Anyone higher then 6" on their FJ?

2,000.00?
Ive seen the ProComp kit for under 1,500.00.
Was that not the entire kit?

Not worried about MPG, as after I lifted the wifes Armada 3", it gets around 12city, but thats before we add the 35's.
Still pulls my other truck around great though, and its a nice safe hauler for my kids.

Im trying to build this FJ on paper first, so thanks again for everyones replies.
