Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

Okay so maybe a pro can answer this for me. with it cranked all the way to 3 inches, will it fit 35x12.50? What back spacing would be needed? How much trimming and where? I'm totally sold on the All Pro stuff. Their bumper is way better looking than the ARB esp. with the prerunner and headlight hoops! Hopefully my wife will find a shop to do the bumpers, lift, and wheels while I'm downrange in Iraq. Wouldn't that be a nice welcome home present?!?!?!

Bandi - do what that one poster said - can't believe I was thinking about today - need a life! lol - paint those rim weights; it takes 5 minutes. Here, you have those beautiful coilovers .. and then ... those nasty weights!! LOL

Do it! Why not? Painted they will not even be noticeable. Even 'tougher' military looking wheels afterward.

FIRST OFF... Keep Safe while playing in the Sandbox, We all Appreciate what you DO
for all of us back in the states !!!

Thanks for the Compliment... I am no expert, but I know what I have experience with...

Now with that being said...

OFRD_GRL used these with her 33x12.5x17's...
I have 17"x9" Panther EMR-440 wheels with 33/12.50/R17 tires
* -12mm Offset
* 107.95mm Center Bore
* 4.5 Inch Backspace
* 6 x 139.7mm Bolt Pattern

I am running 34x10.5x17's, which run perfect on the stock rims and do not hit anything...
as far as running the 35x12.5x17's... I only know what i read here on the forums, which is
they will work fine with the front body mount trim...

The only thing I would SUGGEST(Well - DO IT !!!... LOL) is to email/call All-Pro and ask
What Offset/width Walker Evans rims the used on there Blue FJ on there Site... They
put 35's on it... The concern is, that you only want enought outward offset so that the
tire sidewall clears the upper control arm... but the more outward offset you go, the
closer it gets to the body mount at the back edge of the tire...

Please Post Back Here when you get the Info... It would help allot of people to see the Info...

[edit] - I SENT ALL-PRO AN EMAIL THIS MORNING... I will let you know...

This was From Terry Baker at All-Pro on the VooDoo FJC on there site with the Walker Evans Upgrades:

Quote:
Front Walker Evans coilovers
rear 1.5" All Pro coil springs
1" rear bumpstop spacers
Walker Evans rear shocks
Wheels are 17x8.5 Walker Evans beadlocks with 3.75" backspacing

Let me know if you need any
additional information. Terry.

Be Safe JeepIda'...

Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

Does anyone know what the bolt spread is on the Allpro bumper fairlead mount center-to-center? The reason I ask is that
there are a lot of cool looking fairleads for synthetic rope. Just a pet peeve, don't like pasting a company's name on, even
if I like the company.

Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

OK... I cranked the Coils to 2-3/4" as shown on the image From the adjuster to the machined line... This Leveled the FJ completly... Looks SHARP with the Leveling... Now when I get new springs for the Rear, it will sit perfecto !!!

And some More Images after Adjusting the Front up more...

And Some Comparison Pictures... Not the best, but the Mosquitoes Were Attacking !!!

Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

Very nice Bandi! That is one tough looking FJ. Once you have had the adjustable fronts for a while I'll be curious how often you actually make adjustments based on load/road ... or if you'll just set them at one place eventually and never adjust again. Read: I am trying to figure out if the adjustability factor is just a fun initial toy, or practical long term.

Is the adjustability just as easy as turning that little red knob with your hand? Is it easy to tell what the setting is? What I mean by that is are there 'clicks' from left to right or something like that?

I guess if you buy the Allpros without the remote reservoir you just have what would be the equivalent of the 'middle' setting all the time in terms of ride?

Would you set it 'soft' when out in sand or mud, 'hard' when out on the highway? - unsure about all that. The last time I had anything 'adjustable' suspension wise were Gabriel Hijackers on my Trans Am lol.

Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

On this Allpro blue FJ - regarding the Walker Evans rims - are these the wheels they call 'street wheels' on their website will the integrated beadlock?

If they are the 'street' wheels are these beadlocks functional at all? Are they a major pain to balance? I know the WE wheels are high quality regardless - rated at nearly 3800lbs per rim strength wise.

I am re-thinking my wheel choices since other members here have basically convinced me that the Halos and the Axis wheels are 'cheap.' I'll have a separate set of steelies for 4-wheeling, so I don't really mind a little 'bling'

I guess the WE $50 optional 'polished' look is the bling/chrome/flashy look.
