Nice looking rig, every time I'm in NJ I wonder if I'll see your rig, but I never get down to Brick usually Morristown or South Plainfield. What's the benefit of the new headers, more HP?
Ahh.. Morristown and S plainfield is about 40-50
miles N of me...
From what I hear, yes, the JBA give ya more
HP... Usally more in the higher RPM range,
but I got such a great deal on them, well,
couldn't pass um' up...
I have always installed headers on all my rigs,
so it is about time to do this one... I do already
have the 40series flow master on it, from back
last Sept....
It will prolly kill my warranty on the cats, but
depending on the dealer/service rep, tho I am
fine with that...

::Header Benefits::
• Increase hp & torque throughout RPM range
• Improved throttle response
• Reduced under hood temperature
• Increased passing power
• Increased low-end torque
• Makes engine more sensitive to other modifications (intake, chip, supercharger, etc.)
• Improved engine compartment appearance
• Improved fuel economy*
congrats on the JBA's i'd love to get some but i need toabuse my wallet for about 6" of altitude adjustment and about 35" of rubber asjustment. i cant wait to hear you drive by!
They are doing well, 15k on them now, I should
be able to get another year out of um'... But so
you know, I did waste 1/2 the life out of them
by not getting the front end aligned for six
months after putting the lift on (don't know why
I did that ?)... It burn the heck out of um'...
I will say, my next set of tires will be the LTB's
again...

I will swing by when I get um' on, don't know
how soon it will be, still building my new kitchen
onto our house...
And thanks for the Kind words in Ben's thread, I
appreciate it... It is a tuff thing to talk about and
I try not to think about it if I can, but it hits me
usally a few time a day... Just got to live on for
now, life goes on....
I have some maintenance I want to do to
the front suspension, cleaning and painten'
touchups and such, so I will be needing to
remove the front coilovers...
So, instead of fightin' the adjuster rings
loosen and tighten' them again (you know
how hard coilovers are to tighten down), I
went and found this little item at my local harbor frieght store... I know someone here
had got one prior to this, but I figure I will
provide a little more info...
I got a sweet deal, cause, originaly it was
listed at $99, so when I saw they had it in
stock, I price checked it and it was $69, and
I also had a $20 discount card they had
mailed me, so for $49 bucks, had to get it...
I will be doing this prolly next weekend, and
I will report back on the functionality of it...
Good to see you got the headers! I am thinking I'll go to the local race supply store, buy some mandrel bends in stainless, some stainless cats, and build myself a little jig or two so I don't have to cut the OEM manifold from the pre-cats. Then I'll get Melanie to weld them up for me with our little Lincoln.

Yes my girlfriend out-welds me...
Very nice looking ride Bandi.
Thanks Again Joel, I do appreciate it !!... That
is a sweet idea about the pipes, I wish I could
just shop for some bends like that around here,
I would re-route my exhaust from the front to
past the transfer case in a smoother fashion...

BTW, i am in LUV with Melanie, SORRY BUD... ...
Hahaha! I guess I am sorta glad you couldn't make it to the summit then, I would be so lonely if you stole her back to NJ.
Just kidding, we missed ya. Hope to meet you next year.
It seems that is one benefit of Canada, though I seem to find fewer and fewer especially when the Canadian border guards make you unpack your FJ after driving for 20 straight hours... jerks... but anyways we have a store called MOPAC where you can buy AN race fittings and odd and end bends and other such auto goodies right off a shelf. If you ever find one and go to look around be sure to leave your wallet at home!
Well, I had been thinking of making my own
Hi-Lift rock rail adapter, but after I had came
across this one below at BadlandBumpers.com,
I decided to just order it in...
It is only $40 and comes p-coated red... I
just asked for a total with shipping ($48.95)
and paypal'd it over, and a few days later it
was here... For that price and being p-coated,
it was not worth it for me to fab one up...
I am getting some rubber and cementing it
in in the round channel before I install it onto
the jack... more later...
Well, the shift knobs are from Luke at Fourtreks (listed earlier in this thread)
and do not come with a pattern, so I had Anthony from Vinyl Mania Decals
make me up a shift pattern for the dash... That is one great thing about
Vinyl Mania, they will make anything you want !... I wanted this since
there are a few people that borrow my FJ from time to time, and I get
the same call each time "I parked the FJ, how do I get it in reverse" ...
