Bandi- I am waiting on the UPS man to bring me the same Walker Evans set up front and rear that you just installed. Could you do me a favor and give me some idea on how far you cranked the coilovers for the 2" of lift? I am looking for 2-1/2, but at least this would allow me to get them dialed in pretty close before I mount them, while I can get a spring compressor on them. Thanks in advance for saving me a little trial and error!
I measure 2-1/4" so shown in the picture, from a ring cut around the top
portion of the shock, to the top of the adjuster...

Hope this helps...

Remember tho, a 1" difference in this dimension, equals to greater than 1"
in lift at the tire...

Thanks! That is perfect! I am going to try 2-1/2" and see what that nets me. You just saved me a pile of effort, Thanks again. Now, if that darn UPS man would just get here....

Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

How is your gearing affected by this change in tire size? I imagine without regearing you've lost some performance?

Thx
Mark

Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

Its has changed, that's a given'... But with the low first gear when it at was the original height, where you could either start in 1st or 2nd... it works just fine now... It engine pulls off the start, and down the Highway too...

I start in first gear, and still skip gears when shifting up... like from 1st to 3rd, then 6th...

That was the one thing i really liked when I first got the FJC, the low gearing to start with, others have complained about it, but I knew when I put the bigger rubber on it, it would be PERFECT!!

Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

Bandi - your info is awesome. Thank you very much. Since Allpro has fronts and rears, why look elsewhere if someone needs something NOW? Allpro is an awesome vendor. Best lift, best wheels (WE, imo of course), best (available) front bumper. I wish I lived close to Allpro.

Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

Bandi, do you know if the AllPro front coilvers have machined shafts or are they chrome plated? Thanks!
