Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

OK, Also added My All-Pro Rock Rail on...

I Had to prep and paint them first, and Since they
have been sitting in my basement for a few months...
So I did a quik test fit to make sure all the bolts
aligned up, which they did, no modding needed...
JUST SWEET...

The tape from shipping had been on too long to
come off easy, but I used minerial spirits on a
paper tow, and rubbed a little and the tape glue
came right off easy...

I then slid my hand over all the bars to feel for
burs from the bender or Weld splater. There was
very little, so this made it easy. I then took a
fine file and cleaned them up some...

I then wiped the hole thing down with more minerial
spirits and blew all dust/dirt off with my compressor...

I first used rustoleum primer on the rock rails feet
and arms while they were laying flat... then added
the top coat of rustoleum professional flat black...

Once dry, I stood them on end and pried both sets
of rails and then added the top coat... I let them
dry a couple of days to harden up before installing
them...

I Stood them up next to the FJ and crawled under,
then slid them onto my chest to keep the safe,
then lifted the into possition using my leg onone
end and my hand on the other, started two bolts
(AP provided the bolts) to hold the in position till I
got all the bolts started, thenprocedded to tighting
them up...

I really like the positioning of the AP Rock Rails, the
angle up and thedistance of the body below and side...
Just PERFECT !!!...

Here are the pre and post install picts... enjoy....

Sweet lookin FJ you got there Bandi!

The rails really belong on there. I also can tell the difference in the before and after wheel spacer install pics. Like a collagen injection for the FJ!

Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

Alright... One more install Done, the Spidertrax Wheel
Spacers !!!

These are 1-1/4" alum. wheel spacers... They are
undeniably the best design out their... You can see in
the pictures, the awesome quality !!!

First, the reasons I installed these were to give me a
wider footprint that my OEM steel rims and 34x10.5x17
Super Swamper LTB's did not provide, plus more
stability with being lifted...

You can see in the pictures below, Spidertrax gives you
everything you need to mount these... You have the
spacers themselves, the mounting nuts, and the
lock-tite !!!

I just removed my wheels and used a compressor to blow
all dirt and debris from the hub. Added the lock-tite, slid
the spacers on and tightened the bolts... The spacers fit
tight over the OEM hub centric ridge, PERFECT... Then, I
just added my wheels back on and thats it...

They make the FJ look Meaner to me, plus they serve their
purpose to !!!.... Enjoy !!!....

Before and After Photos...

Install Picts....

Let us all know if the spacers improve handling at all or if there is a significant difference. Thanks

Re: ALL-PRO Lift and Swampers - Bandi's FJC

I installed these monday, so I drove today on them,
and I did not notice any change in handling at all...
engineering wise, there will be better off-road
stability due to the increased width... but at the
loss of center clearance tho...

I would expect the cornering would feel better due
to the increased width, but this I will have to test
out some more ...

But I did (what I knew a while ago when I decided to
order these) Rub the body mount now since I went
wider and matched the width that you gents have
with you 33's...
