3" lift with 35?

just curious if anyone has done a 3" lift and 35s. what all is needed and pros/cons would be nice. total height would be nice to if someone has it. i'd like to know if i could still get it in the garage.

Thanks in advance
Jason

Re: 3" lift with 35?

Here is an excellent thread to read:

How big of a tire can I fit on my truck

with that said, there are quite a few people running 35s with a 3" lift. i do not, so i don't have any personal experience to share. however, from what i have read, if you plan to offroad, then you will more than likely run into contact issues. you will probably need to drop your bump stops, change your gear ratios, and must chop your front body mounts.

I should clarify the main conclusion of my fork lift tests with the tires in the "how big tires can i fit..." thread. For clearance in all circumstances with stock bump stops (and independent of lift - the lift neither helps nor hurts absolute clearance), the largest tire you can fit and guarantee no contact is about 33.5" OD. The result is independent of tire width after body mount chop, fender plastic trim, and wheel well bashing. BUT, the contact is in an extreme case of one lifted rear wheel several feet in the air, with all the weight over the front tire, with the front tire at full turn. I wanted to find the limiting case after all. Larger than 33.5" OD can be run, and will not contact in most cases. My 36"OD pitbull spare will fit for most circumstances. Above 33.5" you just have to be willing to have contact in some extreme situations or change the front bump stop.

Re: 3" lift with 35?

I did the 3" Rev Tek with 33"All Terrain BFG's, I sized up a 35" but decided the 33" was a better fit with no worries of rub issues.
