When you get the alignment done the caster will more than likelly not go back to within specs. What you want to do is get camber as close to center as possible and have the right front caster be .40-.50* greater than the left side this will insure that the vehicle tracks straight and will have no tire wear issues as long as tires are rotated properlly.

Re: FJ Alignment Specs

Looks to me like something you would read from Space shuttle manual. Wouldnt you think the dealer who service my FJ has this info?

Thanks for taking the time to post though....I usually print out those info and leave in the glove box...

Is this due to Road CrossSlope or something to do with the drivers side siting 1/2" lower than the paserger side... or something I am not thinking of...

Thanks...

Re: FJ Alignment Specs

Here's my before and after:

After lifting but before the new tires and alignment, it felt fine.
After new tires, it was 'floaty' on the freeway.
After alignment, it was back to fine.

For Camber, that is all the could get with the lift...

$50 or $60... Can't remember exactly. I probably could have got it for less somewhere else, but they are right down the street from work...

I Believe they all do tilt slightly to the left (driver side)... I believe due to the gas tank, transfer case front shaft output, front rear diff, Driver Componets (steering system, peddles, brake system) and some other items along the frame rail too... It all adds up !!!

I Set my own front when I did the lift, but I do not have a completly flat area to get it exact, So I will be going to a local shop I have dealt' with in the past with my big trucks... They let me in the shop and I can instruct the Alignment guy on what I am looking for, and no more... I only need the drivers side front adjusted to add a tad more positive camber... She drive straight, you can let go of the wheel and it does not drift, but I am noticing a little more wear towards the outer edge of the drivers front tire, all the other tires are wearing in the middle where I want it, so I just need to get this side at the same camber as the passenger side and I will be set...
