Any San Antonio, TX area FJ owners in the forum?

Just looking to see if there were any FJ owners in the area. I've seen a few out there and was wondering where you guys or gals have been playing with your FJ's.

Yup, I'm in San Antonio (Converse actually, but close enough). I've seen several around town too. I have yet to see any FJs with any mods, in fact I haven't seen any with any dirt on it. When I got my oil change, they said I was the first FJ to come in with mud on the undercarriage.

I haven't done any serious off roading in this area...done some at Corpus and in East Texas.

Nice to meet you. I've got the same color 4x4 AT with mods on the way next week. Got mine serviced at Red McCombs and they also said I was one of the first to take mine in for any service. I've taken mine out to a family ranch and the coast as well. Looking to do more with it. Doesn't look like we are as lucky for trails as some of the other members. Let me know if you find any places.

We passed through your city this weekend and visited the River Walk/Alamo.

Re: Any San Antonio, TX area FJ owners in the forum?

Hope you had a good time in San Antonio chrisngrod. Hey HeHateMe, thanks for the offer. Do you know where they had the seats done on the yellow testdrive FJ they had their? Maybe you can answer this one also. I got 6yrs/100,000 miles tire replacement and I'm not happy with the tires but don't want to waste the free set that I will eventualy get. Any way on getting a better set of tires even with a payment to upgrade and still have the replacement later on? Just a question.

Re: Any San Antonio, TX area FJ owners in the forum?

There is also a small to be developed area in Live Oak, I've been through a couple of times. The trails are easy, but some nice muddy areas (after the rains of course). I did get some pinstripping while I was out there too (damn trees). I keep reading about Devil's Den on the west side of town near Ingram Park Mall, but I also hear the cops patrol out there a lot.

Anybody here ever been to Katemcy? Its not too far from us.

Re: Any San Antonio, TX area FJ owners in the forum?

Dealersource did the Yellow FJ, and it looks pretty dang nice!!! I was a big leather guy until I bought my FJ. I love my seats!! I think the cost to do it was $1000.00.

The Extra Mile Extended Tire life warranty is good for 6yrs 100k, so you should get about 3 sets out of that. However, it is a reimbursement process of $200 per tire. I think you can get whatever tire you like, however when its time to replace, you only got $800.00 to work with.

If they'd give me 800 credit towards some new BFG MTs when they wear out that'd be great.
