Re: wheelin in Dallas

Welcome aboard! What dealership are you getting your FJ at? I'm not too familiar with wheelin spots in Dallas. Ask Jim_D, GSGMAC, Valkyrie, or t2Cruiser, they are all in the area too. Just PM them and ask them. Trinity river bottoms might be a good spot though, I have never tried it myself.

Oooh, Toyotatech1 works a Toyota of Plano, he's a member here and works in the service dept. His name is Reggie. Get with him, he will know too. He has a lifted Voodoo Blue, you might see it if he's there.

The Trinity River bottoms have been illegal for years and the trespassing laws are still being enforced.

I'm not sure what kind of wheeling/trail riding you are experienced with, but there are plenty of wheeling opportunities around here.

Read this: Texas Trail Links

and Read this: Barnwell Mountain Halloween Run

How is your truck equipped? Do you have experience? Do you generally wheel alone?

Re: wheelin in Dallas

Thanks for the info on the trinity. I used to go when I was a kid.

I want to do some trails, rock crawling, nothing crazy jut picking it up from the dealertoday. Is marshall creek worth the trip?

I usually go alone, and I have been offroading for a number of years. I am parting with a 98 trd tacoma 4x4 locking diff.... I love that truck... for this new ride. the FJ is 4x4 atrac locking diff so it should be more than capable.

Anyway thanks for the info, I would love to come out when your club does a run, just let me know

Re: wheelin in Dallas

Marshall Creek closed in the spring- I heard rumors it might reopen.

Frankly, $10 to wallow around 15 acres of mud ain't my style.

I leave muddin' to the high schoolers.

Ah, come on now. I hear you're one of the world's greatest mud-wrestlers.
