You would not believe this! I went to replace my windshield glass at Comet Glass and, well, right before my eyes the tech taking out the glass pulled out a screwdriver and broke off both of my cowl covers and scratched the paint around them! When I jumped up to stop him and ask who was to pay for this damage he said I had to wait for the owner.
Well, the owner shows up and tells me to watch my attitude, I told him I did not have an attitide and I just want my FJ fixed. He then proceeded to push me in my chest twice! I called the police and his wife came out and told him to run!
To make a long story short I had a quote today to replace the damage at $400.00 and the guy says he will not pay!
It looks like court is the only option at this point, both civil and criminal. Watch out guys! This place is a real nightmare!

This is the most umbelievable thing I've ever heard. Sorry that happened to you. Good luck suing the crap out of this guy, his wife and his flunky.
I agree to go after them, but your most effective recourse for the damage may only be in small claims court, if he stays in business for a little while longer. I'm not familiar with League City cops but Houston cops are spread too thin to mess with something like this. I got ripped of a few years ago by a sandblasting shop and it was pretty easy to get a judgement against them in the local small claims court. Unfortunately they folded and left the state before I could collect. The Texas attorney general will tell you to talk to your county officials. Your county officials will tell you to talk to your city officials. Just take them to small claims court. Judge Louie Ditta here in Clear Lake took care of me. I think you're in Galveston County so I'm not sure who you would go before over there. It will only cost you about $65, which you can include in your request for damage compensation, as well as your time away from work.
