Re: DFW Toyota Dealership

HAd good experience with Don Davis in Arlington with my FJ purchase, didn't have a good experience with Freeman. Although I had a great experience with Freeman when I bought my Solara.

I guess a good or bad expereince depends on who you hook up with at the dealership--I remember that while I was having a good experience at DDAVIS, the customer in the office next to me wasn't having a good moment with his salesperson.

Re: DFW Toyota Dealership

This is my 3rd veh from Toyota of Ft. Worth and they treated me fair. I had one bad experience there and walked out, but that salesman is no longer employed there

I figured out real quick that from now on I will always get my financing somewhere else and be pre-approved before I go. That makes the whole experience much easier.

Re: DFW Toyota Dealership

We bought our 07 Tundra from Toyota of Dallas. Very friendly folks, the saleman was great to work with. The deal went down pretty quick. Until we go to finance ...oh boy... The tall skinny guy with the glass. I forgot his name. He was trying to sell us a lot of crap that we don't need. I told him " I have a shop so I don't need any additional extended warranty". He wouldn't take no for an answer. I was about to walk out of his office. It took 1.5 hr to do the paperwork..geez. He finally gave us a nasty look and threw the ficking pent in the trash can when he was walking out . I hate to bring this up but Toyota of Dallas has been good to me and our shop. We purchased parts from John and he is one good guy. Thank you John for the great services. I sent many folks over to Toyota of Dallas for the new Tundra. Hopefully someone from Toyota of Dallas will read this post and take the right action.
Regards,
JP Importz

Re: DFW Toyota Dealership

Six months ago, when dealerships in Dallas were asking for $2-5k OVER MSRP, I bought a loaded FJ from Metroplex Toyota (Duncanville) for $3K UNDER MSRP.

The process was simple. I sent several dealers an 'offer'. Only Metroplex Toyota responded. A personal visit to Cowboy Toyota was met with insults to my intelligence, but that is another story.

I drove to Duncanville, reinforced my email offer, and declined a test drive (did that at Cowboy Toyota already). We shook hands on a deal. They did a 'dealer trade' for the color/options/etc that I required. The next day, they had the vehicle ready. I financed with them because the interest rate (6%APR) was well BELOW what my investment portfolio was earning.

I strongly suspect that current prices are signficantly lower! I'm currently targeting a Prius for my wife. Though she has been sports car/utility vehicle oriented for our 37 years of marriage, she flat out LOVES the Prius. I guess, in its own right, the Prius IS a 'utility vehicle', but a utiluty vehicle that is oriented towards maximum gas mileage. (The record by a Prius owner is 120MPG!)

Jim or Barbie Kopacki at Metroplex Toyota are so easy to deal with...no BS...no smoke and mirrors....which is why the Prius will be purchased there, also.

We do appreciate the business and as you said the salesman was great and I think everyone would agree that John does a fantastic job of taking care of his customers as do the rest of my staff. It is sad that the F&I dept. is put under so much pressure to sell all the additional products and i will forward this to the GM/Owner so he can see how people really feel about this. I am sorry for your expereince and hope this does not keep you from coming back. I hope you understand and if there is anything I can do for you please let me know.
