Galveston and South Padre

If anybody out there in the Houston area heads down to Galveston for any wheelin... im there , definitely could use some time away from the books even if its 45 to an hour from Houston im down I go to College Station all the time...... same goes for South Padre, i live there during school breaks and Holidays and the duning is off the hook. Ill probobly be heading to the Port Mansfield Cut during the Christmas Holiday. Its a good 30 miles down the beach . I could be wrong. Iv never really paid attention to time or mileage when wheelin down there.

just ordered a ARB bumper and leveling kit today. will be here friday

total cost was 1,315 including shipping and tax

Re: Galveston and South Padre

Its more like 60 or so miles (3-4 hours) between the North Padre park entrance and the Port Mansfield jetties. I head down there at least once a year..the fishing is great.

Please stay off the dunes on North Padre! It is prohibited to drive on them and destroys the beneficial vegetation that helps create the dunes. You can drive on the beach and on some of the back lake flats.

Good info on fishing NPI can be found here. Corpus Fishing.com.

We (TXTTORA) do runs down to Crystal Beach (Galveston/Bolivar area) all the time. Spring is coming up and we'll be doing quite a few events down there.
