Need yalls advice

Hopefully some from certain toyo dealerships will chime in here... ...basically what is going to happen with this FJ is that she is getting some repairs done after my little incident. Upgrade the suspension and tires. At that point she will be turned over to my wife to be. Then I am getting a 4x4 model.
The 4x2 (the one getting repairs) will be used for towing and do long distance trips with the family (our dogs).

So, I am wanting to add a remote trans cooler, and an engine cooler...not really sure on the second, probably not needed.

We will be towing an 18ft Welcraft with a 350cui. It will mostly be towed 50-60miles (total round trip). But, it will be done often in the summer months, and will see some long trips to the Hill County (Canyon Lake).

So, will having the dealer install the above mentioned "add ons" help save my warranty? You guys think the engine cooler is neccessary with what we will be doing? Any and all advice welcomed! Thanks.

Re: Need yalls advice

Get the Hayden trans cooler... in fact we are putting one on the Ivan Stewart truck New Years weekend in preperation for towing my 40 to Arizona in April and to New Mexico in July.

It has no impact on your warranty, and is a simple install.

In the time we both wasted typing these two posts you're pretty much done... so do it yourself.

Smart move getting the 4x4, although it still can't fly.

Either way Chris....I think we need to refer to his new FJC as the "General".

Glad to here you are getting a 4x4 model...it will make Gilmer a lot more fun and a little easier.

Re: Need yalls advice

Also, just a thought...if you are going to be towing, you may want to consider a heavier spring in the rear. Although, the ride quality will be a little harsher. 896 springs may be to stiff for the wifey.

Good thing they don't make these things in Orange, who knows what would happen. That was funny though.
