Re: New Off Road Park

I got an e-mail back from Tire Trax, hope the info helps a little. See below:

"We just opened on Jan 5th, so we are still working on trails and areas to play in. We have 130 acres fenced off, and various trails, which are not marked or rated at this time. We have quite a few creeks, ravines, and one tank that stays wet all the time. As we get some additional funds coming in we will have some rocks hauled in for the rock garden. We would also like to put in mud runs, full RV hookups, and a covered pavilion.

We have an area cleared under the trees for primitive camping, but no air or wash areas yet. We are only 4 miles from town, and there is a RV park about 1/4 mile down the county road from us but you are welcome to bring an RV here if you have a generator etc.

Any vehicle is welcome, today we had jeeps, trucks, ATV's and they played all day. We will have the pictures from today posted next week on the website.

We do still have a lot of work to do but please do not let that stop you from coming on out!!!"

Re: New Off Road Park

They did just open. I'm not willing to take the FJ w/ stock shoes out there when it's very muddy. It is an option though. If we show interest in trails they are more likely to build them vurses just digging a mud pit.

Re: New Off Road Park

In north tx. I raced cross country M/X for many years,we had a few races at shiloh ridge, good place.About 3.5 hrs from dallas in Clayton Ok.there are many miles of trails.Check out Clayton Lake State Park on the web. From Clayton Lake you can take Summit Trail almost to Mena Ark.I say almost because we turned around because we had to work monday. The park is 4x4 friendly, you can drive your rig from the park to the trails.
