I'd go, but I'm flat broke 'til the first.

Re: Off-roading

I'm planning on fishing the Padre Island National Seashore. The full drive down from Corpus Christi and back is 140 miles of unimproved, sandy, beautiful beach, one way in, one way out. Nothing crazy on the driving part, but 4WD is a must. The fishing is the main point.

Re: Off-roading

I was really looking forward to maybe some offroading this weekend but it appears that mother nature is going to instead try to make the on-roading challenging enough. Last weekend while i was in baton rouge i took the FJ out to get it muddy and found a couple of steep muddy places to climb on the backside of the levee, now i have the itch to go play. I just don't want to go play offroad when the water is deep enough to float a battleship in.

Re: Off-roading

Ah, finally it looks good for me. High around 78, 10% chance of rain on the north end, no chance of rain on the south end of Padre Island.

Re: Off-roading

Spring Creek Is Supposed To Drain Pretty Quick. It Should Be Allright On Saturday.

Re: Off-roading

Yeah i am looking at the sky thinking it will be another day today like it was yesterday. If it doesn't rain today i am up for driving up to spring and checking out the conditions then making a decistion to play or go have lunch and cold beers.
