Re: North Texas Meet & Greet at NRH Hooters on 03-15

Yeah, I'll second Bone Daddy's for next time, too.

Digger, I don't know if you were at the museum at Meacham four or five years ago, but my HOG group rode out there one Saturday and one of our guys choppered us around the perimeter in a Huey. Same chopper that is now parked at the Smithsonian, and star of the "Shadow of the Blade" documentary. Man, it was a blast...

Love the museum, BTW. As a former Air Force brat, I am really into planes. Grew up around them, at many bases.

I help take care of a QF-4S (former J model) in the Ft. Worth Veteran's Airpark at Meacham Airport.
There has never been a warplane that says ALL BUSINESS like the F4, in my opinion. Sure there are faster better ones today, but nothing can touch it for functional and intimidating beauty in my book. Thanks for your service and for preserving all those great airplanes for history.

There seems to be a real interest in Bonedaddy's.

Do we want to change the 03-15-08 meeting location or just wait and make that the next one??? Don't want to confuse or upset anyone, but would like to go where it is going to be most convienent and fun for all.

I picked Hooters since it had been mentioned before. Does not matter to me. I guess those that are going please post up and we will let the majority decide.

I'm up for changing it. Besides, Hooters doesn't serve ribs...

Sorry, I didn't mean to start a rush for the door.

I'm good for either since it'll just be me. Of course, BBQ and beer with the guys does sound a lot better than a Hooters trip when I tell the wife where I'm going that day.

Nah, dumped the LJ for the FJ. Needed something a little better for roadtrips.

btw - I haven't ever flamed you in OT over there have I? We can be a bit tough on new guys in OT, but it's really a nice core group of folks.

I don't know.... its a big difference in drive time for me... <sarcasm>

Bonedaddy's = ~2 miles
Hooter's (Bedford) = ~3 miles
Hooter's (Grapevine) = ~2 miles
BabyDolls = ~5 miles but worth it...
