anyone know when coon creek is going to be.. FJinDFW told me about it.. Turns out the wife has relative IN Dyersburg TN so she said that she would definately go... So I guess I will be going..
I don't know when they are going again, but I would like to check it out.

If you find out any info, post up and maybe we can get some DFW people to make the trip.

Thanks Steve(FJinDFW) for getting this together. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing some local FJ's.

I can't wait for the next m&g, maybe we could make it a monthly thing.
Yep, nice to meet everyone and see a selection of mods for future consideration.

Actually Coon Creek was this past September. Not sure if there is a Coon Creek II planned or not. TennesseeSquire put the last one together.

Although we had a blast, met some great people and enjoyed the Rough Country park, I don't know if we will drive 9 hours for a weekend wheeling trip. We spent more time on the highway than we did the trails. Now if we had family in Dyersburg that might be different.

The only long road trip that we are interested in will be Colorado or Moab and we will stay a week. Weekend trips will be limited to 4 hour drives or less. That's what makes Gilmer a great weekend get-a-way. 2 1/2 hours from Ft. Worth and we can wheel and camp.

Yep, I'm still up for Gilmer.. I just was wondering about the other since she has family there and it allows me time too.

I also need to find somewhere around Little Rock, AR her mom lives there. She has already suggested camping on the base but I don't know if I will be able to do any off-roading..

Thanks guys! Look forward to the next meet.

Gilmer sounds great to me!!!

On another topic discussed, I did get the blessing to use the OV-10 Bronco Association maintenance area for a DFW area get together / mod /burgers and hot dog day. Heck, I'll even help anyone who wants to black out silver trim parts (a.k.a. joining the Rattle Can Mafia). I'll give tours of the museum and have some really kewl airplanes as a backdrop to our work.

Superlift ORV is in Hot Springs about an hour from Little Rock. Cool park.

That would be great! Kids would have fun too. I've been meaning to take my 3yo out to the NAS. Isn't there some trails out that way by Lake Worth?

Looks cool, I will definately have to check it out sometime. Drop her off and head over there, even if its only doing light trails by myself.
