Re: Toyota Trail Teams at Dallas Auto Show April 2-6, who's going?

The exposition company I work for runs this show (among many others).

Show dates are:
Wednesday thru Friday, 4pm - 10pm
Saturday 10am - 10pm
Sunday 11am - 7pm

I may stop over there Friday afternoon, prior to show open, and check out the exhibits before the doors open.

Wish I could, bud, wish I could. Actually, I have no pull whatsoever with the association that sponsors the show; we're just the folks that haul in, set up, assist exhibitors, and tear down.

I'll be flashing my company badge, so I'm covered. Otherwise, I'd be on the hook for admission, just like anyone else. You'd be surprised how much security they have keeping out riff-raff like you FJ'ers, y'know.

Re: Toyota Trail Teams at Dallas Auto Show April 2-6, who's going?

Sorry I haven't been on here much since I started this post. The last week or so has been really hectic.

Everyone that's west of Tarrant county can meet up in Hurst or Euless. There are plenty of places right off of 183 that are easy to find. We could meet up about 10:30 or so.

All you guys in Dallas could just meet us there, or plan a convoy if there are enough people coming from that direction.

Should we pick a designated spot for everyone to meet once we get there? I've never been to the auto show, so I don't know the lay out. Any suggestions would be great.

I'm thinking we could plan to be there around 11:00. Let me know what you guys think.

Re: Toyota Trail Teams at Dallas Auto Show April 2-6, who's going?

I am glad I looked at the website, Dallas Auto Show, because I did not know it was in downtown at the Dallas Convention Center. I thought it was at Market Center.

Cody, 183 is fine with me, but do you think I-30 would be more convenient for you folks coming from the West and Southwest? The Convention Center is downtown at I-30 and Griffen. Just my .02, but does not matter to me.

I-30 and Eastchase Parkway (exit 24, last exit before getting to Arlington). As you exit going eastbound look to your right and there is a Target shopping center on the south side of the Freeway. Several of the shops on the right side of the center are closed and there is plenty of open parking areas to find each other. There is also a McD's in the same parking lot if anyone needs a quick bite for the road or a potty break.

I know right where you're talking about.

How about everyone meeting there around 10:30 on Saturday morning???

We should be able to make it the Auto Show by 11.

Hopefully once we get to Dallas, we can park the FJ's together so we're easier to find.
