Question for Houston folks

So, I thought you all would give it to me straight. I am curious, if I replace my wheels, what would the 6 spoke alloys sell for?

Of course scanning the web for what people want to SELL them for is easy. Nobody posts what they SOLD them for (if they even sell them).

All 5 rims, I am thinking I might get $75 or $50 (per rim) for.

Any thoughts?

Thanks all.

$50 a piece is a good price for you and for them... moves them relatively quickly to a motivated buyer and gives you a descent amount of pocket change.

Thanks Five.

I'm thinking same. I'm sure market is saturated with 6 spoke alloys as it is.

I'm more concerned with moving them than trying to get cash back to outfit my truck. I don't wanna be THAT guy, haha.

Re: Question for Houston folks

I think you guys are on the right track with this one. Soon I'll be getting some new wheels/tires and I'm planning on keeping my stock set up. I'm thinking IF I ever get rid of the FJ, the trade in value might be higher with the stock accessories.

I have a buddy that works at Subaru and he said that was the case with the WRX. It seems that everyone goes mod crazy with those too and when it comes time to sell or trade in, they have to strip them down to stock to get a good value.

Re: Question for Houston folks

I always keep all stock take offs b/c when its time to sell people only care about KBB or NADA pricing the extras are just extras. I put it back to stock and sell any aftermarket stuff on my own.

Another thing about aftermarket stuff is that people tend to believe that the car was ragged out just b/c it has a ton of aftermarket stuff on it.

Re: Question for Houston folks

Well, when that time comes, the lightbar is the only obviously aftermarket item on there. I sure as hell am not switching the front shocks back.

Maybe I will even take the stock mats and stuff out and sell them! HAHA that would show someone!
