Re: Trail Team & Trail Run Weekend! Its On!

Here is his biography from the TT website. Brian (Woody) Swearingen
Woody, as many of you know him on IH8MUD.com, has taken lead of the Central Trail Team for 2008. It's hard to believe that Woody ever stops wheelin', but when he does he's skiing, biking or spiking the volleyball.
Trail tested:
• 2007 East Coast Trail Team assistant driver
• Long time Toyota enthusiast
• Proud owner of an FJ 40
• Founder and owner of IH8MUD.com

Sweet shot! congrats on a great weekend, I can't wait to see more pics!

...BTW, who let the Jeep in?

hehehe that was me in the rubicon. Our FJ is still bone stock and so I took the jeep (jeep is pretty much stock too but it has better tires and app/breakover angles). Caught quite a bit of friendly chaffs from our FJ group (quite a bit from woody himself ) and a jeep group as we ran across them.

All in all it was very fun for me. This was the first time I ran in an official organized event (and with the toyota trail team to boot). My rubicon's rear locker was not working (need to look at that today) so in effect it was the reverse of the FJC - front locked, rear LSD. But still I had plenty of fun on the tough obstacles.

Thanks to matt/gottagetone and the trail team for this superb event!!

I know I learned quite a bit about what my FJ is capable of and more so about what I am able to conquer in my FJ. The team gave some good pointers and some cool schwag including Trail Team badges for our rigs. Unfortunately if you did not roll with the team you did not get a badge, sorry Migz. They hate seeing that stuff on EBay so only one badge per driver. I will certainly work to set up an event again but only when we know the thermostat is not going to be hoovering around 100*.

[sweet pics removed] Nice shots. Glad someone got a shot of me crapping my pants on Bee Alley - aren't my Scepter cans sexy? In that other shot, I'm sure I was fishing a couple of juice boxes out of the cooler in the back. It was really great meeting you guys that attended. I had a blast. I'll post some of my pics later... I'm sure Matt won't post all the pictures that were on his camera. lol

Re: Trail Team & Trail Run Weekend! Its On!

This deserves a post of it's own... Matt, thanks for setting this up and throwing a lot of great grub around. Those brats were phenomenal. The hamburgers were first class as well. I really appreciate your efforts in this. If you manage to set that up again when it's cooler, I'm there if at all possible. It looks like my dad will be there too, since he told me I'm not allowed to go back if I don't take him. He wants to figure out how my camera works so he can take a few gigs of pictures next time.

Yeah, his wife wouldn't let him bring her FJ.

All kidding aside, saigonsmuggler has a great Rubicon that he knows how to drive and I wouldn't be ashamed to be seen riding with him any day... FJ or Jeep.
