...Also out that way is the YO Ranch, which used to host a national Jeep Jamboree. I worked at the YO for years. Don't know if they do any more events, but we might be able to rustle something up.

Small world, I was married there, Chapel on the Hill. I attended a little local college out there as well.

Just remember Oct 11 is TX-OU weekend, so be sure not to schedule it then. Pretty much a national holiday.

HOOKEM!

OU has got that game or at least I hope they do.

Any who I would like to camp and by then I think we should have a bit cooler weather.

Hang out by the fire, make smores drink a few beers you know camping stuff.

I plan on getting a EU2000i so if it's too hot I'll run a small window AC unit to the tent.

I'll keep an eye on this thread too. I've never been to Katemcy. i was maybe planning to go to BMRA that weekend for a quick day trip with a jeep buddy.

With football season coming up i got to plan very carefully when i travel. Go Red Raiders!

Interested and will wait to see the dates. Might want to check with the park to make sure they don't already have a large group coming in.

Re: Texas Wheeling Event.

Tent camping sounds good. But do you think it's really going to be "cooler" in Aug. especially in TX. Never has happened yet in my life. Been in TX for 35 yrs. LOL.

Re: Texas Wheeling Event.

I'd go if it's later that mid-Sept. I'm booked till them. But, I'd love to go. Camping is fine by me. Probably bring another person or two with an FJ and my brother in his Taco.

I-35 will be overloaded due to Texas/OU weekend. I am not going anywhere near that interstate that weekend.

Yeah I agree but I will watch this as well. I think this could be a great idea and the heads up gives everyone a good time to plan. Im sure FJ Dozer and Digger would probably go. If its got mud or dirt or even poop Digger is in (sometimes up to his axels)
