You probably already know, but don't get the straps with the hooks on them.
I figured as much, but the reinforcement is always appreciated!

If you are going to that Northern Freight on south I-45 (not sure if they are all laid out the same)...

once in the door hang a hard left... go towards the trailer accessories

S-Line Tow Strap — 36,000-Lb. Capacity. 4in x 30ft., Nylon | Tow Chains, Ropes + Straps | Northern Tool + Equipment

S-Line Tow Strap — 27,000-Lb. Capacity, 3in. x 30ft., Nylon | Tow Chains, Ropes + Straps | Northern Tool + Equipment

S-Line Tow Strap — 18,000-Lb. Capacity, 2in x 20ft., Nylon | Tow Chains, Ropes + Straps | Northern Tool + Equipment

at least a couple of these:
Clevis — 3/4in. Dia, Heat Treated Pin | Clevis + Hitch Pins | Northern Tool + Equipment

or:
Clevis Has Heat-Treated Pin-Twisted | Clevis + Hitch Pins | Northern Tool + Equipment

i forgot.. does your FJ have a trailer hitch?
you can get something like this:
Baja Champions Stainless Steel Clevis | Towing Accessories | Northern Tool + Equipment
Thank you LINK MASTER!!!!! Nope, still no hitch. All my FJ Mod money went to getting a new place and all new furniture...thanks IKE...

Don't worry about it. See below. We'll just do the transfer case. Do me a favor though. Grab a nice filter (small conical type, black cap), I'll pay you for the part and your time
I can get everything, including the filter, what color do you want?
I may have trouble getting the piece of metal to mount it in the engine bay, but I'll try my best to get that.
Do you just want to do the t-case, or do you want to do the e-locker and diff breathers too?

I would personally go with the Warn or another like it. The main reason, that one is Stainless steel, bling tastic. Second, the receiver part is hollow, not solid like the Warn and some others. 3rd, it is 30 bucks more than the warn. 4th, i don't see a working load or breaking load on the bow-shackle, i would never buy a shackle without that info stamped on it.
Just my opinion though. =)

I just have mine zip tied up behind the engine cover against the firewall.

for the tranny and t-case scuba, do you need anything other than the 1/8 hose and coupling and 1/4 hose and coupling?

Man o man...only 4 more days! I just ordered a CB and it should be delivered by Wednesday.

I need to run by Northern Tool and get some recovery gear. Could anyone chime and let me know what to get...strap, shakles, etc? Thanks!
Man i need to learn how to multi-quote more often.

For a minimum: a high quality snatch strap rated at 20-25K lbs. (less isn't strong enough, more won't stretch, expect to spend about 50-100 for a good one. i have the newer style ARB. It is terrific)
at least 2-3/4" bow shackles (not d-shackles, as in the ones that look like a D, but the ones that are sort of more rounded)- like the one found here
Warn Industries - Truck Accessories: Shackle Bracket

Make sure you also have the rear tow loop. I had the aftermarket trailer hitch when i bought mine, to install, the dealership removed to tow hitch point.

I would consider this a minimum to have and personally keep it in the FJ at all times. I pull stranded motorist off the highway and into parking lots all the time. Sometimes they are cute and you look like a hero.
