Actually they did. That's why Texas has been mopping up most of the rest of the country in football for as long as they've been playing the game. Who neebs engesh anway? They speak spanish down here.

Hey, just because it's called UT doesn't mean it's in Texas.. Tennessee is on a no raise, cutting academic programs year, but we still managed $300-$350+ yearly raise for fat phil and pretty pat! I just learned today that we'll have a 2-5% impoundment in Feburary and a 5% reduction in July. Ain't life grand.. Ron

I don’t see the purpose in making us a sub forum. What did it accomplish? As pointed out CA has a north and a south region and it’s not near as big as Texas.

Perhaps I miss read someone’s earlier post. I just want to clarify we are the only state that never ratified a little document that said we were joining the Union.

"Texans voted on a revised state constitution in November 1869 and elected a state government. Once convened, the legislature voted to ratify the 14th and 15th amendments to the U.S. Constitution (the 13th amendment having already been fully ratified) and elected two U.S. Senators, thereby completing the requirements for reinstatement. A thorough check of the volumes of federal statutes for the entire period of Reconstruction (1865-1870) and through 1872 revealed no other legislation requiring further proof of submission to the U.S. government on the part of Texas or any other of the "rebel states.""

Hey, we have our own POWER GRID, we should have our own forum. This hurts my Texan pride. The FJ Forum was the 7th flag over Texas! Remember the Alamo!
