Did I get an OK deal?

Hey guys,
I put the deposit down for my FJ today, and I want to know if I got a good deal. The extras I put on it are the 17" alloy wheels, conv. package, rear differential lock, roof rack, window tint, and spare tire cover for 26k. Is that about an average deal? The sales person told me if I would have bought this one off the lot, instead of the internet, that I would have paid 3k more. I, personally, think he's full of crap, but that’s just me.

It should be in Houston by the 16th. It would be nice if I could get it on the 17th, since that's my birthday.

Depends if that is above or under sticker (MSRP).

Over sticker is not a "good" deal these days.

Sounds like it might be a hair under MSRP which seems to be a good deal on the FJ. Though inventory is up. I see a lot sitting on lots in my area.

Well, the dealer I went to only had 2 in stock and they were both about 32k. So, I have nothing to compare it by.

I couldn't get the price any lower. I guess being a 20 year old kid, he really didn't take me seriously and knew that as soon as I left somebody else probably would buy the same exact one.

23,300 base AT (you didn't specify)
1,840. CQ
499 rack
total 25639 leaves 361 for ???? Tint,Ouch..... Believe the 17" alloy wheels are standard,if its a manual trans the rear locker is standard, and no matter what the sales drone says he's full of crap.............

I've learned to walk away from those dealers. They are looking for the big score. I like to find the young sales person who wants to make lots of sales not just a couple big sales.

The only things I did'nt get were the roof rack and spare tire cover. Paid $24,980.00. dont konw how much those extra's add to the mspr, but it sounds as if you paid close to msrp. sounds like you did'nt get screwed, but the $3000.00 more you would have paid at the dealer WOULD have screwed you and the salesman was as you thought, full of crap.:

I'm just happy I finaly get to get rid of my '99 Tacoma single cab with 126k miles and no radio (The radio just went out when I left the dealership. Maybe my little Yota was mad at me for trading her in...?) and get something awsome like the FJ!

Thanks for the replies, guys(and possible gals). I always freak out when I spend a large sum of money.....I'm kinda cheap..

Isn't there also a destination fee of 605.00? Does anyone know if that is figured into the base price, or is it in addition to.
Also, I believe that the roof rack is 650.00. So if the dest. fee isn't included into base, looks like a good deal to me.
