FJ friendly repair shops in Houston

I am planning on having some Toytec coilovers installed on my new FJ and wondering if anyone can recommend a good FJ friendly shop in Houston. I would do it myself but I don't have a spring compressor.

Thanks.

Shouldn't need a spring compressore if you are installing coilovers. Basically just drop the existing shock and spring and stuff the coilover package in there.

I'm sure a few members here in Houston, including myself, would be happy to lend a hand with the install.

If not try Javier's Auto Unlimited. Deals quite a bit with toyota's and landcruisers.

Re: FJ friendly repair shops in Houston

I'm trying to save a little cash by not going for the complete replacement setup. So I am replacing the stock front springs with the adjustable ones while keeping the stock TT bilsteins.

I'll check out Javiers.

Thanks for the info

No problem. Just another fyi. Spring compressors can usually be rented fairly cheaply ~ $30 when I rented one several years ago. Believe you can purchase them for under $100. Purchasing/renting one and doing it yourself would still come out much cheaper. Just a thought.

Post up pictures once it's installed.
