3rd Annual Thrill on the Hill

Just thought I would start a thread for the TOTH for 2009. I guess it might be somewhat early --- but it never too early to start talking about a good time. Anyone know if Brandon has any dates set? I am trying to plan a trip to Moab in September but I don't want to miss TOTH 2009.

My guess is that it will be around the same dates as last year, coinciding with Memorial Weekend. That is of course if Brandon decides to host it again.

Re: 3rd Annual Thrill on the Hill

The answer is yes! There will be a Third Annual TOTH. I am thinking about moving to Labor Day Weekend instead of Memorial Day Weekend. We will have more rain and less chance of the Forrest being closed again. What do you guys think. I hate to change it, but it seems like the best thing to do.
I am also considering moving it to Cloudcroft,NM. It is only 30 min from Ruidoso. The trails are MUCH better there and I have better connections there as well. I am working with the ski run to let us use there trails also. I feel confident that you guys will enjoy it more. We can always try it once and if you guys don't like it, we'll move it back to Ruidoso. Give me some input.

Your logic is sound, so IMO Labor Day sounds good eventhough I'll have to wait longer.

Re: 3rd Annual Thrill on the Hill

I am working on the accommodations now. There are lots of cabins to rent and working on the RV park as we speak. I know a few of you guys offered to help plan this, if you are still interested please let me know.

Re: 3rd Annual Thrill on the Hill

Labor day is the opening day for the bow hunting season. I don't know if there are any other hunters out there but that hopefully would not be a good weekend for me.
