Re: 2009 Thrill on The Hill appreciation thread!

We also want to say THANKS to Brandon for putting such a great event together. Hopefully next time we'll make it for a few more runs.

Also a thousand thanks to Paul, Matt, & everyone else who helped us with our trail repair. We would've truly been stuck without such a great effort from EVERYONE in our group. A note to anyone running aftermarket LCA's: USE LOCKTITE!! We lost a bolt out of a rear LCA, I usually re-torque when I change the oil & I forgot to last time. I didn't use Locktite & it worked it's self out. We're researching the 'perfect' solution, but Locktite seems to be the best preventative measure.

Thanks again to everyone for a great event, can't wait to get this written up in the October issue

Re: 2009 Thrill on The Hill appreciation thread!

WOW! what a great time. Both Rick and myself really enjoyed ourselves. We met a bunch of awesome people, had fun wheeling and even got molested by an alien Thanks to Brandon and all the folks who put this together. My only problem now is Rick is wondering what kind of FJ to get $$$. Hope to see you all next year.

P.S. Won a great prize, but don't know what to do with Tube Doors????

Rick

Re: 2009 Thrill on The Hill appreciation thread!

This was my first TOTH and it was great! Brandon and the rest of the crew did an awesome job. Thanks to the NM crew for keeping me entertained and great meeting all of the other new faces whose names I'll learn again next year.

Re: 2009 Thrill on The Hill appreciation thread!

What a great event. Brandon, Rachel you really did a fantastic job in every area. This was my first Toth but I will be back for sure. I think the area was beautiful, the camp and lodge were fantastic. The volunteers that made this event the epic event it was certianly are owed a great deal of thanks.

I am not quite as lucky as George, I am still here in Alamagordo, at hotel down the road from the dealership. My parts should be here by noon Thursday. We will hit the space muesem in the morning I think.

Scott Harrison has been the hero here. What a great guy. We are actually using his 'FJ60 while Brandon and Rachel get the truck back on four wheels. He has helped me since the landing of my airborne FJ. Thanks George for your help, I guess it gave you practice for what followed. It really sucks when you break, but to have your friends around to help you, make you really appreciate what a great bunch this FJ group is.

I also want to say thanks to all that came by and talked to me about All Pro. Your comments will be forwarded to Jon.

Again thanks to Brandon and Rachel, and all the other sponsors that made this a very enjoyable event.

It was fantastic meeting you Bob! You are an amazing representative for All Pro. When I can afford it I will be looking at the rear swing out and rear bumper. My rear driver's side bumper wing is hanging on by a thread after Coyote canyon!

Great TOTH. It was good to see people I've known for a while, last year's familiar faces, a lot of new faces and all those "Damned Texans" (smootch, we love ya'll). The scenery and wildlife were ungodly. Thanks Brandon and Co. for the event.

Re: 2009 Thrill on The Hill appreciation thread!

Let me start by saying... "YOU GUYS ROCK"! I could give so many individual "thank you's" but to sum it all up... you guys are the best! Thank you all for bringing so much to the TOTH to make it the great success that it was! It was sooo awesome to see some old friends and meet so many new ones! I think we all know how to have a great time! We are already coming up with some new and improved ideas for next years rally. Any input you guys wanna give... please don't hesitate! To Bob and George... thanks for ending the rally with a "BANG"... you guys know how to put the petal to the metal! I hope everyone had a great time and have gotten a little rest! I'll attach the pictures I've got very soon and I will also be sending out an email that lists everyones names, emails, vehicles, and maybe their forum names to help you guys keep in touch! Be in touch soon... THANKS AGAIN!!!
