If you use one of those 1/4 hex to 3/8 or 1/2 socket adapters, be careful of the cheap ones ( the better ones too for that matter) the shank will twist in a quick connect chuck and be very tough to get back out. I only use mine to snug bolts down and then get them tight with a wrench. Cordless drills and impact drivers really aren't capable of completely torquing down anything bigger than 1/4" bolts or self tapping screws anyway.

Sorry for making you read this.

I've got a set. I use them for very light applications, like the socket head screws that hold my body panels on....just zip them down.

Those adapters will work fine for light duty applications. You'll need an impact for heavier stuff.

I got a set of Craftsman for $2.99. I don't know why they are so inexpensive but they do have good warranty. As shuntripper said, I'll just be using them to snug up bolts.
