Re: Tool rolls

you might want to take a look at a bag like this. it will hold just about everything you need including a drill. when going out i usually pack a set of metrics, americans, screwdrivers, nutdrivers, medium depth american and metics sockets, two ratchets, full 1/4" drive set, nutdrivers, assortment of pliers/cutters/strippers, two allen sets, torx set, my DMM, cordless drill, drill index, butane torch, etc... you get the idea, i carry a lot in there. enough to leave a bruise from the strap.

Re: Tool rolls

I use the heck out of my Duluth rolls and tool bags as well as other misc. accessories. I also have various jacket and hats. They're good at throwing freebies at you when you buy stuff online.

Re: Tool rolls

Duluth Trading Company has the Bucket Boss line and many, many other good "soft" organizers.

Re: Tool rolls

Amazon.com actually has well over 4000 hits for 'tool roll'. Selecting 'home and garden' then 'storage and organization' on the left will reduce this to a more realistic 40 of which about 14 are the type you are looking for. They list two Bucket Boss rolls, one is general purpose and the other is a 'wrench roll'.

Re: Tool rolls

Lord knows I've tried, but I've never had good luck with tool rolls. I always end up spilling tools out of them and having to pick them up off of the dirt, mud, or garage floor. I've resorted to purchasing a dedicated plastic box set of tools for my FJ. It takes up much more space than a tool roll would, but the box holds the tools without fear of them falling out and I can always find what I need. Does anybody know of a tool roll solution that is superior for keeping tools from falling out? I'd give it a try again because of the reduced space requirements.

Re: Tool rolls

Craigslist had deals from time to time. "Keep her on all 4rs, and sometimes 3!"
