Is this any good? Craftsman Air tools/compressor kit

Craftsman 26 gal. Air Compressor with Air Tool Kit, 1.6 hp, Horizontal Tank, 160 Max PSI - Model 16761 at Sears.com

So I was thinking about getting into air tools for general wrenching and maintenance projects on my beloved cruiser.

Any feedback on this item?

Thanks!

Re: Is this any good? Craftsman Air tools/compressor kit

Wheeler,
I have the 33 gal. 2HP, Craftsman Compressor and have used the heck out of it. It runs impact wrenches pretty well but has a hard time keeping up with cutoff tools and air grinders. It is not going to do what a 80 gal. 5 HP shop compressor will do, but for light applications you can't beat it for the money. The tools that come with the compressor are okay for light duty but are not in the class of the InRand tools. There again, you get what you pay for.
When mine wears out I will buy another one just like it.

X2 with Hog. If you plan on using die grinders or cut off wheels, sanders etc you will want a much bigger tank than 26 gal.

+1

easily enough to run a ratchet and an impact wrench. Be aware that there is a large difference in ability and usability between the cheapest and the mid-level impact guns; way worth it to spend more and get a decent one IMO. On a new truck you could get away with a cheap one for most everything, but as soon as you need to get something corroded or rusted off you'll wish you had a better one.
