If you start getting into any fab work like sliders or tube bumpers this tool will become one of your favorites.
Mine is a Grizzly #G8686 I don’t know the current price, 06 price was 59.95 (I need a new catalog)
There are several manufacturers out there making this tool. I have been using mine for 6 years and have no problems with it. A simple matter of attaching the proper sized hole saw and either mounting in a drill press or using a slow speed hand drill. Drill press is much easier. The angle of the cut can also be adjusted. Pics below pretty much say it all

They are all very similar, pretty basic. I have seen them as high as $225.00 Amazing, same design too.
There's a huge difference in quality though...
I built my buggy with cheapo HF notchers (2 of them; one wore out the other is on its last legs).
In the years since I bought the first HF, they have cheapened the quality even more. The first couple I bought (I have 3) were decent quality for the $30 price. They would do the job. The 3rd one was slightly different (HF has at least two part numbers for this part) but was much lower grade quality. The last one was useless the metal was so thin and I returned it.
I reserved myself to the fact that I could no longer buy an acceptable quality one at HF and instead spent around $200 for a good one from M-Tech. Vast improvement in quality, construction, parts and bearings. Though I believe $200 is too high a price, it's still what you have to pay to get a decent notcher.....unless you are fortunate enough to be able to get an older, more robust design.
HTH,
Sean

The one I bought from Grizzly for $59.95 is working just fine. Taking the time to make sure it is set up in alignment with the drill press makes a huge difference in longevity. I probably do not use mine as often as you do yours but I've built several bumpers and rock rails with it and it is still going strong.

You missed what I was saying....I wasn't saying Grizzly was crap. I have never owned or handled one. I'm only saying that the HF ones have gotten cheaper (in terms of quality, not price) over the years and that the $30 model they sold years ago was worth it b/c it did an acceptable job. The newer HF version is total garbage and will NOT do the job. Had I known there was a cheaper alternative than the $200 one I bought, I'd be happy with a Grizzly assuming it was like the 1st generation of HF notchers.
Where did you get the Grizzly? I'd definitely be interested in knowing more about them as I could save friends over a hundred bucks on the more expensive M-Tech models if they are as good as the 1st gen. HFs.
I think the confusion came from my first few sentences of that reply. What I meant to say was that even though the HF notcher design is essentially the same as the higher priced ones, the quality can vary greatly.

HF can be hit or miss on most things. What I do know is I would never buy anything from them over the internet sight unseen. If you go into the store and put your hands on it you get a better idea of what your getting.
