Anyone use this floor jack? Torin Big Red 3 1/2 ton SUV Floor Jack

I need a better floor jack. The one I have is from harbor freight, and I guess I got what I paid for. It doesn't gently drop the vehicle. In fact it's like either on or off. It doesn't drop slow enough to stop the vehicle, which is what I need to do my diff drop.

This oneThis one looks like it will be exactly what I want.

I you have one, I'd appreciate your thoughts on the quality.

I haven't used that one, but I have a 3 ton Craftsman that came with 2 floor jacks for $100. It works well for what I need and lets the vehicle down slowly.

I know what you mean I purchased my 3 ton floor jack from Harbor Freight

Wow! The lift height is really good (21in) and it has the quick release handle which I have on mine. Good price. Never used one but looks like a good choice.

Re: Anyone use this floor jack? Torin Big Red 3 1/2 ton SUV Floor Jack

Just bought one from Tractor Supply to do my lift this weekend. It's a 2 1/2 ton SUV jack, so it comes with an extension to get up to 21 inches of lift. It worked well, and slowly let the vehicle down if you didn't twist the handle too far. It was $49.99. Brand is Big Red, doesn't say anything about Torin. I'd buy it again...

I looked this one up on their web site, and it says it has a "Quick Lift Device". Does that mean it will quickly lift up to the frame? That would be a nice feature, and should be similar to the foot lift of the one I have linked in my 1st post.

Re: Anyone use this floor jack? Torin Big Red 3 1/2 ton SUV Floor Jack

OK, I finally got my new floor jack.

It's the Arcan 3.5 ton Quick Lift Service Jack. It is light years ahead of my old jack. It has a quick lift to reach the bottom of the vehicle, and then slower once engaged. And it lets the vehicle down slowly. It also has a much longer handle than my other one, which makes it easier to raise the vehicle, plus it has a max height of 21 3/8". It was about double the cost, but it is really worth it to me.

Ummmm, anyone want to buy a slightly used floor jack.
