Popular Mechanics is out with their 2007 Automotive Excellence Awards, and we are excited about, we're proud that the Design Award goes to the FJ Cruiser. Presentation of the award took place this morning at Toyota's corporate headquarters in Torrance, CA.
Story will appear in the October 2006 issue of Popular Mechanics, but read all about it online http://www.popularmechanics.com/auto...s/3871487.html . . . and congratulations to all FJ owners and fans!

That's awesome! Motor Trend SUV of the Year award isn't far off, gonna steal it away from Xterra.

Re: FJ Cruiser Wins PM Automotive Excellence Award
not that I'm biased but shouldn't it have also won the award for Driving Fun, Off-Road Ability, and Value?

Re: FJ Cruiser Wins PM Automotive Excellence Award
I don't like it. I have to answer the "What is it?" question 20 times a day. Saying "The Toyota FJ Cruiser" was bad enough. Now, I have to say "The award winning Toyota FJ Cruiser". I'm billing TMS for the time
