Playboy and the FJ

"she remarked that it looked like a cross between a Hummer and a Honda Element" doh, here we go again. "The "FJ" moniker may sound like a corny abbreviation for "Future Jeep." Actually, it's the internal codename for the platform of the classic Toyota Land Cruiser, which is still one of the best-looking 4x4s ever made." Got to love the make up

Re: Playboy and the FJ

Not the greatest review, it was favorable though - I would call the car more modern retro than futuristic. I disagree somewhat with virtually every comment the writer made. Interesting though. I like the Chick Factor section. Focuses on looks and impressions. Doesn't talk really about the drive it like you stole it ride factor or the excellent offroad capabilities and city driving handling.

Re: Playboy and the FJ

That really isn't much of a review. I could sit here and tell you most of that by looking at a brochure.

I wonder if they would airbrush the FJ before putting it in their magazine like all the T&A.

Re: Playboy and the FJ

Sad to say but the last time I looked at PLAYBOY it was not for the articles. It was just an excuse to buy the thing. I think that month they were offering financial advice.

No kidding. I could have written that without ever having sat in an FJ. Weak.

Yeah, that'll be a best seller . . . and there will be a bunch of dang sore and bruised FJ owners out there that'll be sorry they ever read it.
