You are right on the money, much to my dismay...When my wife told me she was going to test drive an FJ, I didn't even go along. I figured the ride would be stiff and rigid so she would pass on it and I would get to watch the football game with the sound surround cranked...She bought the vehicle and now will only let me drive it once a week. The ride is superb, great handling and I know she can't handle the power like I could. As far as the review, what else could be expected from the Communist News Network

No doubt...you and GOBOGIE speak the truth. Where the hell does that point of the review come from?
I wasn't even going to buy an FJ because I wasn't really looking for a new car when I test drove it...just wanted to kill a few hours driving new vehicles. I had been following the FJ concept for years and loved the idea (like many on this forum, I've always been a big fan of the FJ40) & I LOVED the idea of the 6MT option.
I jumped in the driver’s seat and figured I would be disappointed with a rough ride, poor acceleration and an overall sense of "Nice first attempt Toyota, but I'll wait a few years for the improvements to be made...". To my surprise the ride was as firm as I expected, yet smooth and non-jarring, she cornered with much less body roll than I anticipated, the engine took off like a rocket, the MT shifted like butter and the breaks threw me against my seatbelt. I was hooked. Like many I had spent months watching the Trail Teams beat the FJ up on the web so I knew it could off-road, but I never expected this kind of on-road feel after watching those videos.
How could anyone review the FJ and say those things when compared to the H3? This guy is obviously not a car guy 'cause he wouldn't know a good ride if it ran over his fat a$$.
